Michael Dedmon joined The Financial Clinic in 2018 as Policy Manger. In this role, he is responsible for leading the Clinic’s policy work, leveraging its knowledge and experience from service delivery and national partnerships to create lasting change for working people across the country.
Michael comes to the Clinic with many years of research experience in both academic and nonprofit environments. Prior to joining the Clinic, he was a Research Associate with the Transnational NGO Initiative at the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs where he worked on issues related to political participation and the use of digital campaigning tools by advocacy organizations. Before that he was a Research Analyst at the Center for Creative Leadership where he helped expand CCL’s work on leadership and organizational development in emerging markets and in the nonprofit sector.
He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in international relations and European politics from the American University of Paris and the London School of Economics and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Syracuse University.
Michael is a member of the Clinic’s strong and growing contingent of Coloradoans and on the weekends can be found searching for Queens’ best tacos or at the park with his wife Laura and their senior Goldendoodle, Jack.
