Georgette joined the Financial Clinic in July 2019 as the Executive Coordinator. In this role she works alongside the Clinic’s CEO to provide administrative and communications support, development and communications support, and to be a board and staff liaison. Before joining the Clinic, Georgette served as the executive assistant for the non-profit Made in Durham, and was responsible for managing of staff meeting schedules, coordinating arrangements for board of directors and advisory team meetings, CRM systems management (Salesforce), IT and communications liaisons, and supporting major events such as the annual Power of Partnership Summit fundraiser.

Georgette also volunteered with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern Carolina for over 10 years, CAARE (Center for Accessible Health, Research, and Education) for 2 years. There she set up their computer lab and offered basic computer training. Georgett has also contracted as a grant reviewer for CMMI (Center for Medicare & Medicare Innovation) and the state of NC over the years.

Georgette has held roles with a number of companies such as Verizon, as a Lead Client Success Manager, General Dynamics, Sony Ericsson and iRobot as a certified Configuration Manager and Software Release Coordinator, Toshiba as an Engineering Change Analyst, and GSK and MetLife as a Project Coordinator managing IT changes and issues and risks databases.

Georgette enjoys making her own jewelry, a hobbie she picked up after asking a friend if she needed help making jewelry using semi-precious stones for an event.
